Knee Osteoarthritis

Did you know research shows that people with Osteoarthritis (OA) have 30% more falls, and a 20% greater risk of fracture than those without OA? FOX physical and occupational therapists are expert at evaluating for risk of falls in people with knee OA. Current guidelines strongly recommend therapy to improve function and reduce pain.

Reduce Risk of Falls

  • Decrease the risk of falls through home safety evaluations and training on the proper use of assistive devices

Provide patient Education

  • Patient education for pain management, gait, and balance training, and prescribing an appropriate home exercise program

Restore Function

  • Stretching, resistive exercises, and hands-on therapy techniques can improve knee range of motion, strength, and balance to maximize participation in everyday activities
