Published On 9.16.24

Original Date: February 16, 2024

In Part 1 of Dr. Tim Fox’s 2024 Carole B. Lewis Lecture, we get a behind-the-scenes look at the preparation that took place prior to the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting. When Dr. Fox finally takes the stage in Boston, he talks about the importance of being unreasonable, especially if that out-of-the-box thinking leads to better health outcomes for older adult patients. He also acknowledges his physical therapy mentors, to whom he refers as “giants;” and in keeping with the theme invites the lecture’s namesake, Dr. Carole B. Lewis, to take the stage. Dr. Lewis delivers a truncated, impromptu speech of her own, and Dr. Fox delivers her a surprise that brings the audience to their feet. Watch now to find out what it was!
