FOX Senior Living Spotlight Series: Memory Care

In the latest edition of FOX Rehabilitation’s Senior Spotlight Series, FOX Director of Senior Living Partnerships, Irene Blumenthal, PT, MHA, and FOX Regional Director, Brittany Illustrato, MOT, OTR/L, discuss how FOX Rehabilitation engages with the memory care community. Just because a senior living resident has cognitive impairments does not mean they cannot benefit from physical, occupational, and speech-language pathology services. Working with patients in memory care does require different techniques and strategies, however, our goal remains the same: getting our older adult patients stronger, so they can live better longer. Working within the memory care environment, FOX is also able to educate caregivers and staff members on how a patient can best achieve their optimal function.
